4,000,000,000

4,000,000,000 appears at first sight to be a lunar zone. In a half-space surrounded by black walls, Ren Han uses axes and power tools to carve the walls and uncover a panoramic drawing of the moon and space. Based on the internet images and old engravings, the reproduced drawings are the result of an intermingling of the virtual, fantasy, and reality. The artist makes death a point by taking it as an element of nature. The artist was inspired in particular by a news ‘Chung’e – 4’ which is a Chinese program of lunar exploration that has progressed. The white flags repeat human desires to us: in the end, all the flags will turn white after they reached the moon. Han questions the meaning of the construction and destruction of human beings.
