In the spirit of philosopher Merleau-Ponty, this monumental work, which splits the exhibition space in two, sheds light on our contemporary relationship with images. The digital age has brought about a radical renewal of our perception, a kind of iconic turn in our civilization. We are no longer encouraged to formulate images according to our thoughts, but to think according to the images. Nothing becomes an event for the one who wants to understand the world through a screen, who seeks to see without being exposed. These bas-reliefs carved with axes, hammers and drills question cyberculture by rehabilitating the gesture, revealing the tangible aspect of the world.
